What is a digital locker?

This initiative has been started under the Digital India program. Its purpose is to physically remove documents and preserve them electronically. These documents can be shared in every government office. The digital locker will give each citizen space to store individually. In which cloud space will be linked to that person's Aadhaar card number. In this way the government agencies connected to the digital locker will be able to issue the certificate to the person in electronic format. The person can also upload a scanned copy to the digital locker. They will also be able to sign these documents using the e-sign feature. Apart from that you can also share your documents with the government agencies affiliated with this service.
